General Information

NYSDEC's File Transfer Service (FTS) is for the secure transfer of data files to or from NYSDEC on an ad-hoc basis. Use of the FTS site is for DEC business only. It is for single file transfers; if you have multiple files, combine them into one archive file or ZIP file using an archive program (e.g., WINZIP) before uploading to the FTS site. (WINZIP is available, preloaded on all NYSDEC equipment.)

External users wanting to upload a file will be asked to enter an email address and receive an address verification email that will include information needed to complete the upload process.

This FTS system is being retired

Uploads are disabled as of 12/27/2024, while existing files will remain available to download until they expire. External users should ask their DEC contact for information on supported replacement systems. DEC users should contact their IRC for more information on the Aspera mySend service.
